I did the same question about choosing or not a vertical capable one. Dell has some very very nice models but also very expensive too. The problem was, I had the "moment need" so I couldn't wait a week or so to get it at home. In my work I have two of them and often I change one of them to vertical position. Regarding the mouse I have the same feeling. I would love to see a keyboard with the trackpad on it. I have chosen this one just because I hate to change keyboards. The only thing I regret was not buying one that could rotate to be used in the vertical. Anyway for that price I got the LG and a external harddrive for time machine. As for the keyboard, I wish I had yours, but at the time the wired version was only the numpad'ed one and it still bothers me that extra space it takes. I hate using the mouse very far away.
