big and small tools, a matter of space optimization
Some weeks ago I had a special guest here at home. A ‘huge’ FreeBSD NAS server(*). It was my guest just for a week or so, but even so I have played very much with it. I had no monitor to plug on it so I bought a flatscreen to work with it. Here it is, my brand new LG Flattron ~22″“.

Meanwhile NAS went for it’s datacenter rack and the flatscreen got plugged into my macbook, awesome! This new office scenario raised a new need here at home… and that’s it, today I have bought the new tiny wired keyboard from Apple.
Isn’t it good looking?
No need to say that I love both tools and if you are willing to buy something like this for you, you have got my 2 cents.
Just a matter of getting space in you screen and space in your desk!

I got the exact same monitor a while back and it has worked pretty fine. The only thing I regret was not buying one that could rotate to be used in the vertical. Anyway for that price I got the LG and a external harddrive for time machine.
As for the keyboard, I wish I had yours, but at the time the wired version was only the numpad’ed one and it still bothers me that extra space it takes. I hate using the mouse very far away. On the other hand, I don’t like the arrow keys macbook-style, so a middle version would rock.

Hi @Alcides
That’s true and I love them too! I did the same question about choosing or not a vertical capable one. Dell has some very very nice models but also very expensive too. The problem was, I had the “moment need” so I couldn’t wait a week or so to get it at home.
In my work I have two of them and often I change one of them to vertical position. It’s just fantastic to debug.< I must take a picture of my desk >
Yep I saw that one too. At Fnac they tried to sell me that #FAIL
I found the tiny one at Vobis and cheaper.
Regarding the mouse I have the same feeling. I would love to see a keyboard with the trackpad on it.
I have chosen this one just because I hate to change keyboards. Getting used to a new one takes me too many time, so the arrow keys are just fine for me.
