From FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE-p8 to 7.0-BETA2 and back to 6.X

…all in one night babe…

heeheh I am laffing very much just for reading this title :) , don’t get mad, don’t get impressed. I do love FreeBSD 7.0 and it sugar :)

What I am talking about it has append last friday night. I was installing a new “big storage server” named IRONMAN <- (wtf!) :D , with FreeBSD 7.0-BETA2 and after installing it, building it’s world and kernel, I put it in a gmirror (well just 2 of it 8 hard drives), because the other 6 are(were) for (wana guess?), ZFS… but… at 4am, I got a Kernel PANIC. Me stressed because the situation, and mad because this is not my way to do things, I just did it :) . I took the 6.2-RELEASE CD and installed everything from scratch and the peace of mind and spirit came to me again :) Yes folks its hard as a rock, its stable as a humm (something super stable here), and it’s working as a swiss watch :) .
Regarding ZFS well maybe in December I update this server.
